Q&A Lanihya Odom of Baked
**How long have you lived in Henry County?**
I moved to the Henry County area in August 2017.
* **Where are you from?**
Riverside, California
* **How long have you been in business, and can you explain the name change?**
We have been in business for 3 years, officially opening on January 1, 2022.
We’re excited about our recent rebrand, including a name change that better reflects our vision and product offerings. This change gives us a better look and aligns more closely with what we serve and where we’re headed as a business.
As we plan for expansion, rebranding was the best decision both legally and strategically. We wanted to ensure that our business is set up for long-term success while continuing to provide the quality and experience our customers love.
This is just the beginning of exciting growth for us, and we can’t wait to share more about what’s next. Stay tuned for updates as we roll out our new brand!
* **What sparked you to become the owner?**
I've had an entrepreneurial spirit since I was a child, so owning my own business was always a goal for me. When I came across this concept, I instantly fell in love with it because it’s so unique. I saw the potential for endless growth and knew it was something I wanted to be a part of. It’s exciting to build something that not only stands out but also has the opportunity to expand and evolve in ways that truly make an impact.
* **Interesting Fact About You-**
An unexpected fact about me is that, despite having a deep passion for food and entrepreneurship, I didn’t know how to cook when I first started **Baked**. Coming into the restaurant industry without culinary experience might seem surprising, but my entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to learning helped me turn that challenge into an opportunity. My journey proves that even when you’re not an expert in every area, you can still build something successful by following your instincts, embracing the unexpected, and learning as you go!
* **What do you love about Henry County?**
My favorite thing about Henry County is how fast it is growing. It is inspiring and motivating to watch an area grow substantially.
* **What separates Baked from large chain establishments?**
Our Customer service is the #1 difference. We take pride in what we do for our community, it is more than a restaurant.
* **What has been the most rewarding aspect of working in this industry?**
Hiring our younger generation for the first time. Everyone remembers their first Job! It is amazing to watch them grow and learn over time. The sad part is watching them leave to conquer the world.
* **Why do you believe Baked has been successful for so long?**
As an owner, I am heavily involved in the operations of Baked! My values and ability to execute a high standard of operations is the foundation of our success.
* **What's your favorite dish, side, and dessert at Baked?**
Alfredo Baked! Is my first love, out of our Baked! Collection. My favorite side is the smokey tomato soup. The best dessert is our Pound Cake hands down! It is nostalgic and memorable.
